Hi,
When Yom Tov occurs on a Friday, one may not prepare on Yom Tov for the ensuing Shabbos unless he creates an eruv tavshilin, setting aside two foods for use on Shabbos and reciting a text which declares this to be the 'down payment' on his preparations for Shabbos. One who will not need to prepare on Yom Tov for Shabbos is not obligated to create an eruv tavshilin.
