Entering in mid-kedushah

Hi,

One who enters the synagogue in the middle of Kedushah should respond appropriately to the lines he hears; he should not recite the parts that he missed.

(Rivivot Ephraim 1:90)

Have a great day,
Mordechai

  1. Good morning, I wonder if, at some point, you would outline the acceptable range of responses of the tzibbur during Kedusha. Specifically, at some minyanmim, the tzibbur hums the melody along with the SH'Tz. In other minyanim, the tzibbur actually sings the WORDS along with the SH'Tz. Is this an acceptable halachic range? Or should we simply ask our local Rav? Michael Felder

  2. Michael-
You might take a look in Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim 125 and the Mishneh Berurah there; I think that might help.
